EVENT May 9-11: Transcendence with Nightwood






TRUNK is happy to have Nightwood back in the store for a "Transcendence" exhibit during BKLYN Designs on May 9-11. The creative duo consists of Nadia Yaron and Ry Scruggs. Together, they create inspired furniture with their signature reclaimed wood and handmade textiles inspired from old things, primitive practices and creative reuse. 









For this exhibition at Trunk, Nightwood has pieced together fragments of Art Deco, occult, geo-future and their signature rustic Nightwood aesthetic which trandscends space and time. Getting dressed and grooming ourselves is something we do everyday. These rituals ground us in the physical plane and reinforce our believed realities of who we are. This installation suggests transcending the physical plane we live in on a daily basis to another plane or space where the deeply rooted reality we know to be true no longer exists.
